Occupy Portland continues as Marathon runs through downtown

The 2011 Portland Marathon snaked it’s way through the city to the finish at Chapman Square – the current home of the Occupy Portland movement which was allowed to remain after talks with the police and Mayor Sam Adams. Portland, OR, USA, 09/10/2011.

After talks with the police and Mayor Sam Adams, the Occupation was allowed to remain in the square.

Fences were erected by the City yesterday and nobody could leave the camp from 4am last night until 4pm this afternoon at the end of the marathon.
